Bringing Art to Homeless Children

Sac Town is known for its activities in arts and culture. The art forms seen here are theatre arts and visual arts. The Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission established the arts council in 1977. From then on, this council is vigorously providing many programs of art in the city. These programs can be in the form of Arts education or arts at public places. In days when stretching a dollar is not simply a fun challenge but more a necessity, finding dual uses for everyday items can really help save money! Here are some simple (and we admit it, kind of fun) ideas for putting common toiletries to use for more than one purpose!

-Polishing scuffed shoes – rub toothpaste into the shoe and wipe off with a damp cloth.

In conjunction with the new 7 Wonders of the World determined on 7-7-07, the Sacramento Bee decided to have a contest to determine what their readers feel are the current Seven Wonders of California.

By confining choices to man-made creations, they passed over natural wonders such as Yosemite Valley, redwood trees and Big Sur.
